Requirements for the Foundation of Turning and Milling Machine Tools

2024-09-20

In actual CNC equipment manufacturers, many equipment users ignore the requirements of the equipment installation environment. For heavy-duty CNC turning and milling machine tools, manufacturers generally provide users with the foundation drawings of the turning and milling machine tools. Users prepare the machine tool foundation in advance, maintain it for a period of time, and wait for the foundation to enter a stable stage before installing the machine tool. Heavy-duty turning and milling machine tools and turning and milling machine tools must have a stable machine tool foundation, otherwise, the turning and milling machine tool accuracy cannot be adjusted. Even after adjustment, it will change repeatedly. Some small and medium-sized CNC turning and milling machine tools have no special requirements for the foundation. According to the provisions of GB 50040-1996 "Design Specifications for Power Machinery Foundations", the following work should be done:

(I) General requirements

1. During the foundation design, the equipment manufacturer should provide the following information:

(1) Equipment model, speed, power, specifications, and outline dimension drawings, etc.

(2) The center of gravity of the equipment and the position of the center of gravity.

(3) Equipment base outline, auxiliary equipment, pipeline location, pit, trench, hole size, grouting layer thickness, anchor bolt and embedded parts location, etc.

(4) Equipment disturbance force and disturbance torque and their direction.

(5) Location of foundation and foundation diagram of adjacent buildings.

(6) Geological survey data of construction site and foundation dynamics test data.

2. The turning and milling machine equipment foundation is separated from the building foundation, superstructure and concrete floor.

3. When the pipeline is connected to the machine and generates large vibration, vibration isolation measures should be taken at the connection between the pipeline and the building.

4. When the vibration of the equipment foundation has a harmful effect on nearby personnel, instruments, factory production and buildings, isolation measures should be taken.

5. The equipment foundation design shall not produce harmful uneven settlement.

6. The setting of equipment anchor bolts shall meet the following requirements:

(1) The buried depth of anchor bolts with hooks shall not be less than 20 times the bolt diameter, and the buried depth of anchor bolts with anchor plates shall not be less than 15 times the bolt diameter.

(2) The distance between the anchor bolt axis and the foundation edge should not be less than 4 times the bolt diameter, and the distance between the reserved hole edge and the foundation edge should not be less than 100mm. If it cannot meet the requirements of the milling machine, reinforcement measures should be taken.

(3) The thickness of the concrete under the bottom of the embedded anchor bolt should not be less than 50mm. When it is a reserved hole, the net thickness of the concrete under the bottom of the hole should not be less than 100mm.
